The Ritsumeikan University Wander Vogel Club was established in April 1956 as a student-led extracurricular circle.
Today, it is known as the “Ritsumeikan University Athletic Association Wander Vogel Club” and engages in a wide range of outdoor activities, not limited to mountaineering, but exploring various aspects of nature.

In 1962, the club built a mountain lodge at the foot of Mt. Kumotori in the Kitayama region of Kyoto, and it has been maintained over many years.

Former members from various generations who spent their student years in the club continue to stay connected and actively participate through the “Ritsumeikan University Wander Vogel Alumni Association.”
